Trained as a chef, Laura Reiley began her career as a food/wine writer in the San Francisco Bay Area. While she still writes about food for publications such as Martha Stewart Living, Gayot.com and Zagat, she has focused more on travel and finding fun things to do with kids since moving to Florida in 2003. She wrote a first edition of Moon Handbooks Florida Gulf Coast, for which she won first place in the 2005 NATJA awards, and is currently at work on a first edition of Moon Handbooks Orlando and Walt Disney World. Laura lives in Tampa with her husband, a psychologist; her daughter, a ten-year-old; and her dog, a schnoodle.
